Preserving the Past: An Interview with Umida Akhmedova

In the spring of 2023, I had the opportunity to correspond with Umida Akhmedova, one of Uzbekistan’s most prolific photographers and filmmakers. In this interview, Akhmedova discusses her 2010 arrest for the “slander” of the Uzbek nation as well as her current projects.
