The soft crash of the river below. The rustling of grass by the midsummer wind. Silence.

The images of Мечты (trans. dreams) were shot in the summer of 2016 in western Russia. I hoped to capture the slow, often dreamy landscape of Russia as a juxtaposition to the constant news coverage of Russia’s economic sanctions and recession.
